Sail Amsterdam, 5 jaar later… en wat is er bij u veranderd?

Sail Amsterdam gaat weer van start. Een fantastisch evenement met indrukwekkende schepen en de Stad Amsterdam als hoogtepunt. Alsof de tijd heeft stilgestaan en even het besef hoe het er in de wereld van transport en vervoer honderden jaren geleden aan toe ging. Ook het besef dat de afgelopen 5 jaar weer snel zijn gegaan. Kinderen in plaats van 3 en 5, 8 en 10 en uiteraard zelf ook weer 5 jaar verder zakelijk en privé. Leuk om eens na te gaan wat er allemaal de afgelopen 5 jaar is gebeurd. In februari 2005 maakte YouTube haar start, kunt u zich dat voorstellen? Grote kans dat u tijdens die editie van Sail Amsterdam nog nooit van YouTube had gehoord. Grote kans dat u op dat moment nog niet digitaal fotografeerde of digitale video’s opnam. Het medium Twitter bestond nog niet eens! Twitter is opgericht in 2006 en heeft eigenlijk het laatste jaar pas echt een groei door gemaakt. Wat dacht u van de iPhone? Daar hebben we nog 2 jaar op moeten wachten, in januari 2007 werd het eerste model door Apple gelanceerd om nog maar te zwijgen over de iPad die onlangs is uitgekomen. In Juli 2005 nam Google het bedrijfje Android over, het besturingssysteem voor mobiele telefoons dat pas 3 jaar later in oktober 2008 haar levenslicht zag. In 2005 bleek uit onderzoek van het CBS dat 1 op de 5 Nederlanders nog nooit internet had gebruikt terwijl dat nu nauwelijks voorstelbaar is. 2010 wordt het jaar dat voor het eerst het internet gebruik tv gaat overtreffen in Europa. Het lijkt wel alsof het tempo van veranderingen de afgelopen 5 jaar gelijk staat aan de veranderingen die vervoer en transport heeft doorgemaakt in 50 jaar.

En wat is er eigenlijk bij u veranderd in die afgelopen 5 jaar? 2005 was het jaar dat Donner het SBR/XBRL programma lanceerde om zodoende lastenverlichting voor het MKB te realiseren. Waar staan we vandaag? Aan de vooravond van echte oplossingen en echte implementaties. Een incubatietijd van 5 jaar dus. Leest u eens voor de aardigheid dit rapport van KPMG door ‘Trends in Accountancy 2005′. Had dit rapport niet net zo goed in dit jaar gepubliceerd kunnen worden? Twinfield vocht 5 jaar geleden nog tegen opwerpingen als: ‘het intenet is onveilig’ of ’staat mijn financiële informatie wel goed opgeslagen?’ Allemaal hordes die inmiddels niet meer lijken te bestaan en zijn opgelost. De hele wereld gaat online, leeft online en beweegt online. Of we het nou willen of niet het gebeurt. Maar even terug naar u? Welke veranderingen heeft u doorgemaakt die het vermelden waard zijn? Of welke veranderingen verwachten we de komende 5 jaar door te gaan maken? Wie is de held van morgen waarvan we in 2015 zeggen dat we diegene niet eens kenden? Laten we Sail Amsterdam als ijkpunt pakken en over 5 jaar weer terug kijken. Die tall ships blijven hetzelfde die zijn tijdloos, de echte wereld die draait wel door en niet alleen om haar eigen as!
