Nieuwe tijden, nieuwe technologieën, nieuwe verdienmodellen?

Deze week een drukke week voor de boeg met bijeenkomsten en evenementen door ons zelf georganiseerd. Dinsdag ontvangen wij tien journalisten rondom het onderwerp: leidt nieuwe technologie tot nieuwe verdienmodellen? Een brede insteek die we er gezamenlijk met IDC en Microsoft aan geven inclusief een mooie case van InShared die de gestelde vraag positief beantwoord. Ik praat veel met ondernemers, accountantskantoren maar ook de ondernemers binnen die accountantskantoren. Eens heeft iemand mij eens verteld: wordt nooit verliefd op je product of dienst maar blijf het zien als middel om geld mee te verdienen. Iets wat veel accountants charmeert, de liefde die ze hebben voor het vak maar zijn ze wel ondernemend genoeg? Een van de vragen die Andre tijdens de persbijeenkomst zal beantwoorden als ondenemer is: stel dat je vandaag opnieuw zou beginnen, wat zou je anders doen? Als je je die vraag als ondernemer zelf stelt en gaat bekijken hoe de vlag er vandaag bij hangt vwb technologie en online dan denk ik dat we ons op dit moment begeven in een tijdperk dat zich het best laat omschrijven als het walhalla voor iedere starter.

Mede ingegeven door de crisis zijn er velen gedwongen ZZP’er geworden maar ook de vele online mogelijkheden die er inmiddels zijn om met slechts enkelen een enorme impact te hebben doen werknemers besluiten om toch maar eens de stap te wagen. Het altijd toegang hebben tot relevante informatie over klanten, leveranciers, producten, diensten, de concurrent, de financien, KPI’s, prijzen etc. en het op een juiste manier te weten aggregeren, combineren en interpreteren is vandaag de dag key. Dat levert een voorsprong op waarmee je je als ondernemer kunt onderscheiden van de rest. Het hebben van een goed product of een goede dienst is überhaupt een basis voorwaarde om ‘in business’ te kunnen geraken. Online speelt daar een hele grote rol in bij het efficiënt inrichten van je kernprocessen, het verkrijgen van de juiste stuurinformatie en het werven en behouden van klanten. Iets waar veel ondernemers zich minder druk om maken omdat die verliefdheid op het product of de dienst nog teveel overheerst. Maar kijk nou toch eens welke mogelijkheden er vandaag de dag worden geboden op online gebied als laat ik mij beperken tot de accountant als ondernemer.

Diverse online platformen die mij toegang bieden tot grote groepen van potentiële klanten, de AppStore van Apple, Android Market van Google, AppExchange van Salesforce.com, Chrome plug-ins, Facebook en ga zo maar door. Platform? Ja een platform waaruit business te genereren is. Als ondernemende accountant met al die vakkennis op zak, deel die financiële administratie als informatiebron nou eens op in allerlei informatie objecten en ga eens bekijken hoe je er, door het te combineren met klant en leveranciers informatie binnen een CRM omgeving, waardevolle informatie voor jouw klant uit kunt halen. Salesforce.com wordt dagelijks ingezet door honderdduizenden gebruikers die te bereiken zijn via het AppExchange platform. Maak samen met een ontwikkelaar een plug-in die een informatie vanuit de online financiële informatie uit Twinfield combineert met de online klant informatie in Salesforce.com. Neen, niet alleen de administraties die je zelf verwerkt, die heb je overigens allemaal uitbesteed aan een verwerkingspartij, ook Twinfield biedt een platform waarmee je toegang verkrijgt tot alle 80.000 administraties. Zorg ervoor dat deze informatie die wordt samengesteld toegankelijk is voor al die miljoenen gebruikers met informatie apparaten zoals iPhones, iPads, Androids en al niet meer. Hebben we dan een nieuw verdienmodellen te pakken? Jazeker, de specifieke kennis dien je hebt als accountant, de kijk op financiële informatie en de wijze waarop je deze op een leesbare manier voor een ondernemer samenstelt en presenteert is ‘geproductized’. Heel concreet: maak een cashflow voorspeller die aangeeft of een ondernemer in staat is de komende 3 maanden aan haar verplichtingen te kunnen voldoen. Laat een plug-in maken voor een Chrome webbrowser zodat mensen het gratis gaan installeren in hun webbrowser en gaan gebruiken. Zorg voor apps op dedicated apparaten zoals de BlackBerry, iPhone, iPad en Android en vraag daar een euro voor. De verschillende platformen zorgen ervoor dat je een bereik hebt tot miljoenen gebruikers en dat het daarmee een oplossing is die schaalt. Met weinig mensen een enorme impact hebben op een traditionele sector, volgens mij moet het kunnen! Is dat accountancy 3.0?
