Dat Twinfield de boekhoudblunder bij TUI had kunnen voorkomen gaat wat ver maar de beschreven oorzaak zet hetgeen Twinfield nastreeft wel kracht bij: verzamel en ontsluit financiële informatie vanuit één bron. En nu realiseer ik me dat het vooral voor grotere bedrijven een behoorlijk karwei is om dit te realiseren maar kijk ik naar 80% van onze klanten binnen het MKB dan betreft dat omgevingen waarbij deze gedachte prima te realiseren is. Nu kun je als ondernemer wel alles in één bron hebben staan voor wat betreft de financiële administratie maar wat gebeurt er als de accountant de gegevens nodig heeft? Juist, u exporteert deze uit uw administratie en hevelt die over naar de accountant. Die gaat ermee aan de slag, maakt wat wijzigingen en aanpassingen en komt terug met een statische financiële rapportage op papier.  Die keurt u goed en de stempel van de accountant gaat erop. Maar de wijzigingen die zijn doorgevoerd, hoe komen die weer terug in uw administratie? Zodat u ervoor kunt zorg dragen dat wellicht op een later tijdstip kan worden achterhaald waarom en op welke plek er bepaalde veranderingen zijn gemaakt. Gebeurt dat niet dan vormt ieder kwartaal of misschien wel iedere maand vlek op vlek op vlek. Een export van administratieve gegevens betreft in veel gevallen een sommatie van allerlei detail gegevens dus al zouden u en uw accountant het willen, de informatie komt nooit meer op de juiste manier terug in de administratie.

Dus al heeft u het als ondernemer goed geregeld, uw accountant speelt hierin een net zo belangrijke rol, de wijze waarop er wordt samengewerkt. In het huidige tijdperk hoeft er geen scheiding meer te zitten tussen de gegevens binnen uw onderneming en die van de accountant. Door gegevens online te plaatsen en te verwerken zorgt u ervoor dat er altijd vanuit één en dezelfde bron wordt gewerkt. En ja, Twinfield levert dergelijke oplossingen net zoals Exact Online en Reeleezee. Slechts 7% van alle MKB-ers verwerkt haar administratie online.
